(Nearly) Everything I Do

Assignment Work and Commissions

I am available for assignment work around the Tokyo area and beyond, as well as for commissions for custom artwork. Please get in touch with specifics about what you need, and we can go from there.

Location Portraiture in Tokyo

Offering custom location portraits in Tokyo, with an emphasis on improvised settings, natural light, and trusting the city to help us get what we need.

Prints and Custom Artwork

My images are available as prints in a range of sizes and formats, both as standard prints and as custom artwork tailored to your needs.

Aleatorist (Publications, etc)

Aleatorist is my creative sandbox and is home to my self-publishing efforts, including zines and essay collections.

Photography Workshops

Workshops in photography in the Tokyo area, for individuals and small groups, focusing on the creative with a technical grounding.

Photography Lessons

Having been in photography since 1996 and education since 2009, it only make sense that the two would combine. Local and online lessons offered.

In October 2026, I released a new non-technical course on learning to see photographically, called Begin With Seeing. Check the link below, or email me for other options.

The Voucher System

Explore my current, experimental system for pre-sales of different services, including portraits, workshops, photo walks, and experimental walking tours.

Things For Sale

Over time, I find myself with things I no longer need, especially as I minimize. This page has listings of various items currently available, from photo equipment to stationery to antiques.

General-Purpose Consulting

An experiment in using my extensive and wide-ranging skills and experience to help other people solve whatever problems they may be wrestling with.

Though I have my areas of focus, I hope that I never become so totally focused as to no longer be open to new opportunities or the possibilities of collaboration. If you want to work together on something outside the scope of what you see here, just get in touch via the contact form or send me an email at david@davidrmunson.com to get things started.
